Wendover Community Health Center

The Wendover Community Health Center is operated by Nevada Health Centers, Inc. (NVHC), which was founded in 1977 as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). NVHC currently has 15 clinical sites throughout Nevada. Wendover Community Health Center opened its doors to serve the community with quality health care in 1999. The clinic is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

This clinic offers periodic screening for children and adults, management of chronic medical problems, emergency service, basic diagnostic laboratory, basic diagnostic x-ray, well-child care and vaccination, nutrition assessment and education, acute/episodic medical care, Urgent Care & 24 Hour Emergency Care, Lab, X-Ray, prescription dispensary, primary care service for all insurance companies as well as many other services. The Wendover clinic is staffed with two MD’s and one physician assistant (PA-C). There are three back office and three front office support staff.  Three times a month, a Medicaid Eligibility Specialist visits the clinic to assist the community with available programs. 

In addition to the Wendover Community Health Center itself, Wendover Ambulance provides onsite medical treatment, triage and transportation services.  West Wendover is fortunate to be located only 120 miles from Salt Lake City, Utah where some of the most prestigious medical centers/facilities in the nation are located.  As such, when necessary, medical patients are referred and transported to these high rated facilities by ambulance or when needed, by air service.
